Question by Nerol: govt healthcare will probably suck, but what do you expect all the people with “no insurance” to do conservs?

heh i’ve been to India, and seen the destitution first hand .. it is not pretty to say the least, and i’d hate for America to start looking like that

I am not answering as a lib or con. The problem I see with plan as revealed is that the “loser” has not been identified. Example, will the doctors, paramedicals, drug companies be the net loser under major universal or total population coverage? The odd part of the proposal is there is no loser identified and, sadly, there does have to be a loser. The president says one saving is to reduce the number of diagnostic tests and refuses to give the medical experts any caps or other relief from medical malpractice. Recent speech to AMA. Now, that is not a great first step in communicating a reasonable and workable plan. I expect all uninsured to be in support of “the plan” assuming that no premiums are required. I expect the medical doctors to support “the plan” if they are assured of an increase in income.
