Question by debrianna: Made a Bad Investment on Condos in Arizona, what can I do?
I am an independent invester on quite a few condos in Arizona, two different places but not far away from each other. One of them are two bedroom condos and the other one is studios. I looked at many of them but not all of them. Other people invested as well when I did some of the investors were independent and some on borrowed money loans etc. Not long afterwards the company” went out ” , making me and others loose lg amount of money. It was not what it was suppose to be. They lost their butt after so long when come to find out it was a scam omly paid well for about the first two or so years . I hired and nowI have another manager infact the second manager since the Management Company I bought the condows folded, and then another property manager took over on the oremises. Not all the condos are independently owned . I am not from Arizona and live in California, which doesn’t make it handy to really check and see what does go on. I don’t know half of the time if things are what they are told to me, from tjis new manager I ahve hired and before her about 8 months ago had a different one I felt she didn’t do her job. I never can get a receit for the things that I purchase when told about a problem, I am told how much an appliance is but when I ask for the receit, it never gets to me, and different things just do not add up. All I have done since this has happened is try and do everything I can to pull myself out of it and have the ball get rolling and I am sinking and not making hardly anything and always seem to be paying out for this and that and never have concrete proof that it is what it is. The Management Company I bought my share of condos with, folded and I had to take over and hire my own manager not to loose everything I invested. It seems as if there is something that can be done. But I cannot get to the bottom of it. Is it possible I could sue the oriignal Management Company I bought the condos from? they led me to brelieve it was a great investment , and thinking all was well and good, 2 or so years later it all folded. I have continually paid for upgrading, there are Hmo’s on the property but I I have my own insurance so I do not go through them.or the on property management. My y manager does know them. How could I ever get out from under this without loosing everything? And I know some of the people sued the company property manager that originally I bought the condos from, some got there $ and some didn’t I have heard. Should I consider doing this to get back some of the money I have lost? I am so sick form all this but continue to try and get somewhere, it is making me so tired, my health is not that great and I do not need the stress. Does anyone know if I would have a chance at ever getting back some of the $ for the “falling of this investmetn” I made and how would I go about this or what ever I would need to do ? Thank-you and I appreciate any advice. It is so very devastating to have had this happen..
