Question by Kitulu: My ex-wife has contacted the DHS even though I pay child support and provide health insurance for my kids?
I got a message from my ex-wife that she needs a letter from me stating how much I pay in child support so that she and the kids can get Tenncare. She is telling me that she “had to agree to let them go after me for health insurance on the kids”, but that it should not matter since I already provide it. I am getting the feeling that she is trying to pull a fast one. If I already have court-ordered child support in place, can the DHC just change the amount without a hearing or without me being there? I am currently deployed to Iraq at the moment, and will not be home for a few more months.

The guy has been divorced for 3 years and keeping his ex-wife on his plan stating that they are married and she is his wife to get all of her medical expenses covered and they have amounted to a huge amount. Where would a person report this fraud and what would happen to the ex-husband and the ex-wife? Who would have to pay back the insurance company the monies paid out to the cover her bills?

I have been divorced from my exwife for 2 years now. During the course of our marriage, she racked up a very extensive amount of medical bills. During the divorce, the judge ordered her to pay her own medical bills that were incurred.. and that I wasn’t liable for any of the charges.
I just found out that she had medical bills sent to collections “in my name” back in January of 2006. From 01/2006 to 02 of 2008 (2 years) she failed to pay on the charges that were in collections. Just recently she began making payment toward the bill.
Here’s the deal:
I was UN-knowingly sent to collections over 2 years ago. She failed to pay the bills when she knew they exhisted. She also failed to tell me that they were on my credit.. and that my rating was being decreased the entire time. On top of that, she unlawfully changed my address with them, so that the bill would route to her home.
She has recked my credit.
Ex Wife Still Uses His Union Insurance?
Hi! My brother and his ex wife got divorced back in 1999. It was a quick divorce and he now has zero ties to her. He pulled his credit report last month and found that she has been using his Union health insurance for plastic surgery as recent as 2006. There are 4 records on his file that he had me call on to get the patient info and they were all from his exwife. Can he sue her for these? Isnt this insurance fraud and a felony?
