Medicaid Part D: Why Did Republicans Support Massive Federal Spending Under GW Bush? Then Rail Against Obama?
Question by Jamie: Why Did Republicans Support Massive Federal Spending Under GW Bush? Then Rail against Obama?
I don’t Understand this. Why did Republicans stand behind and Support Monster Federal Spending under GW Bush for 8 years? Then Act like If Obama’ spend’s something to help the Economy, It’s Socialism? For 8 years Bush Blew the National Debt out of the Water, with Trillion dollar Deals like ” Medicaid Part D” 1.2 Trillion dollars. The Iraq War alone 1+ Trillion , The Bush Tax cuts, Rather they want to Say they Generated Revenue or Not, For every dime we don’t account for we have to Barrow from China, and Pay them back with 40% Interest. Bush Doubled the National Debt, and walked away with the Economy In Flames, After all his Investments… And the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars Spent on Upgrading Iraq’s Infrastructure? So Then I guess by Republicans It’s Ok for Socialism, As long as my Tax Dollars are going to Someone Iraq, but it’s not ok to help some Poor american’s who are starving to death? Because they got Laid off?
Bush 2009 Budget. Details Came From Yahoo News. Why Does He Want to Keep Taking Away From Poor and Elderly?
Question by Sugar: Bush 2009 budget. Details came from Yahoo News. Why does he want to keep taking away from poor and elderly?
“The president is proposing to once again slash health care coverage for seniors and low-income working Americans,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said. “The president’s cuts are exactly the wrong medicine when the cost of health care and the number of uninsured continue to rise and families are feeling economically insecure.”

First off, you have to look at who is saying that….after all the quote was from Nancy Pelosi. The cost of healthcare can be blamed on the insurance companies, and people who sue over everything under the sun. As for the uninsured, that in my personal opinion is the fault of the worker, find a better job with better benefits, most people are too complacient or lazy to find a better job. My understanding is that McDonalds has pretty sweet insurance.

Joe Conason Points Out to Joe Scarborough That Iraq War & Bush Tax Cuts Ballooned the Deficit
(Via Heather, crooksandliars.com ) Joe Scarborough thinks the trillion Iraq war that was accompanied by tax cuts didn’t balloon the deficit more than the current healthcare bill. You know, the healthcare bill that’s entirely paid for — and will actually reduce the deficit. Guest Joe Conason made the mistake of pointing this out, stirring Scarborough into one of his little freakouts. Of course he denied supporting the combination of wars and tax cuts, which, if you watched any cable news during that time, is total horseshit. Where Is the Difference Between McCain (Now Not 4 Yrs Ago) and Bush?
Question by Jean G: Where is the difference between McCain (now not 4 yrs ago) and Bush?
Senator John McCain has aggressively tried to distance himself from Bush in an effort to avoid being tagged by Democrats as running for Bush’s third term. However, as Think Progress notes, McCain’s chief surrogate, Senator Lindsey Graham, did not adhere to that message during his appearance on ABC’s This Week, with George Stephanopoulos.
Stephanopoulos asked Sen. Graham if McCain’s tax and healthcare policies are essentially “an extension or maybe an enhancement of the Bush policies.” Sen. Graham answered, “Yeah, absolutely.”
