Gordon Browns Plans To Expand Care For The Elderly

Gordon Brown made a bold statement about the care provided for OAP’s in the UK. He stated that the current system just want satisfactory enough. Under the current regulation and care system many elderly people are forced to sell their own homes due to the huge bills for care they had to endure.

Under Gordon Browns proposed new rules there will be a major shift in the way things are done. The system will allow elderly people to get all the support they need and for them to be able to stay in their own homes with the cost of care being paid for by the Government. The service would come into practice in 2015 just after the new election, along with a compulsory levy that will fund it.

Question by leikevy: How does Scott brown’s election in MA effect the healthcare reform?
I need a bit of update on the healthcare and I’ve read about the election of Scott Brown but I am not sure how it directly affects the healthcare reform (didn’t 2 separate bills pass through the house and senate already?)

I am looking for serious answers, not political trolls. Thank you in advance.

It means the Democrats will now have to include the Republicans into talks over this healthcare bill; The bill isn’t dead, as many in of Brown’s constituents want this health-care bill to pass (kind’ve like Joseph Cao in New Orleans, a Republican who votes according to his constituent’s wishes) so it is stilI on the table…I just don’t think they’ll be as big a focus on the role government plays in the bill.
