lumendelsol asked:

I have the unfortunate privilege of knowing a couple that have some very questionable practices. To start, this couple has been together for over 9 years, and have 2 children. Both kids have been diagnosed with ADD,and ADHD. They collect social security for the kids disabilities which they use to fund their expensive tastes and the Wife’s compulsive shopping habits. None of the money actually helps the kids. In fact the couple is not even married. The reason she said is that if they were married they would have to pay more taxes and get less money back, also medicare would not pay for the younger childs health care if they were wed. I did find out that they report to someone that the “husband” is not living with them when in fact he has for the past 9 yrs. She makes money by taking care of a mentally challenged person that is a live in. Her room is a porch. To make room for her they moved the son (10yrs.old) to an attic space(he was in the porch before) not suitable for living.
They say they are married if an application is filled out to obtain some kind of free Gov’t service, credit, ect. Once she stole a new credit card from a grandparent activated it, and used it to fix her cat. With all the money they bring in from state sevices and their jobs they bring home close to 5000 grand a month and barely have food for the children, but they seem to be able to afford new vehicles every couple of months. Also, the reason they arent married is that if they were they wouldn’t receive medicaid for the youngest daughter. I’ve been a hard worker all my life and it p’s me off to see the kids in the middle. Both kids are good kids and unfortunately they are being drugged up with ritalin daily. I noticed the reason for this is that the kids want attention that the parents don’t want to provide so they get drugged up to stupify them. Less than 30 min a day are spent with the kids ages 7 and 10.Even the firescape doesn’t work it’s falling down and made of rotted wood. help
thanks for the advice. I will put it into effect immediately. Please keep the answers coming. I will keep you updated on what happens. God Bless:)

I think private individual health insurance is a fraud. Do you agree?

chattterus asked:

Here is how individual insurance policies typically work:

1)Every year insurance companies create a new policy. For the next year they encourage people to sign up, then stop offering that policy to new people after one year. All of these people share the medical costs of everyone in the policy.

2) For the next half dozen years they encourage healthy people to upgrade to new policies. This leaves only the sick sharing medical expenses and the insurance premium goes up quickly.

3) A dozen years after each policy is made no one can afford the premium because everyone in the policy is sick and has major expenses. All of the ill people then lose their health insurance.

4) Now that the ill people have been filtered out from the healthy people they can’t get insurance and are left to die by health insurance companies that could care less.

My mother was one of the people filtered out when they sent her a sixteen thousand dollar premium bill for the year on a policy she joined over 15 years ago. She would like private insurance, but is turned down by every insurance company. She has to rely on government handouts to pay her medical costs.

My opinion is the goal of health insurance is to defraud anyone who is has an illness. Do you agree?

Do any candidates have a plan other than insurance paid by the working class to cover everyone?

Traveler asked:

Aside from actual costs to manage a medical facility, the invention of insurance has generated additional costs that have nothing to do with treating or preventing illness/childbirth.
Health care fees has become grossly inflated with expenses that have nothing to do with actual health: Cost of insurance coverage added to salaries and our taxes to cover national leaders completely: salaries and benefit packages for non-medical CEO and CFO’s and other personnel such as employees that specialize in filling out medical forms, applying for benefits, filing all the information, collections of payments; insurance company pays for fraud investigators, employees to find technicalities to not pay benefits, their CEO and CFO and all other employees.
My elderly dog needed jaw surgery: half was removed and it was wired. She stayed at the clinic getting IV fluid and medications for four days. Her bill was $395 (including tax and medications brought home). Had this been my mom, the hospital would be investigating the possibility of getting her home somehow in addition to charging her insurance, and any others she is eligible for them to sign up for, charging initially more than $20,000.00.
If a national plan is passed the above fees just guarantee beg business for insurance companies and hide it as a medical expense.
Has any candidate considered promoting health with tax incentives? How about a federal neutral health facility that is free to everyone and it only diagnosis’s health and illness using technology our tax money pays for. People could then seek health care if needed, if not they have a clean bill of health. This would help curb wrong diagnoses- the diagnosing practitioner gains nothing from illness or health. The money used for national insurance coverage now could be applied to these free facilities.
One more question: if we force employers to bare the cost of healthcare for everyone while import tax and easier globalization since 1994 signing of China Peace treaty, won’t all of our jobs/companies go off shore to avoid this expense?

shanell asked:

I want to get my Masters in Healthcare Administration. The problem is, I have no healthcare experience. I currently work for a bank in the Risk/Fraud department, where I have been working for 4 years. I know that I want to work on the business side of healthcare, I do not want to deal with patients. The only jobs I can seem to find in the business side of healthcare, are medical coding and billing. Are there any other business related jobs in healthcare besides medical coding and billing?

Oh yeah I have a bachelor’s in Journalism. But I don’t want to do anything related to journalism.
