Sounds like crap to me – $25,000 vet bill? A dog could have a liver transplant for that kind of money. I think the guy’s just looking to sue someone famous so he can get an out of court settlement to go away.

If the trainer had a choke collar on the dog he should be strung up. Choke collars kill more dogs every year than cancer kills people. As a professional trainer he should have known better.!!

I was waiting for someone to pull the my dog got hurt by Ceasars’ way of training. He is getting popular, making money and some people don’t want their dog to be dogs, they want to dress them up and carry them everywhere. His way is not cruel and you don’t have to follow every single step, all the time. The dog gets trained to do what the owner wants the dog to do. While learning it is not allowed to do “normal” things like sit on furniture, jump on people, bark at certain things, or whatever, after the dog has learned that its’ human is boss, it can be invited up onto furniture, or to stand up for a hug, or to bark when it’s appropriate.
I’m sure the people who think his way is mean and cruel have issues with their dogs, but think it’s cute!

Ceasar Millan is like my idol. I dont think its his fault. Maybe the dog had develop health problems due to fear.

Going on the assumption that the charges are true, the $25,000 sought in damages is not even a slap on the wrist. That will be eaten up in legal fees and then some. Stick a few more zeros on it. Heck stick a whole bunch on it. Anyone who intentionally harms any other living creature for personal gain needs to see what it feels like. An animal, in this case a dog which cannot speak or testify, is at the mercy of humans. To be summarily tortured by a person claiming to love dogs is disgusting, heartbreaking and doubly criminal. Get Gator all the law will allow and let him really enjoy life. Happy landings baby. (Might wanna turn him loose on his captors too)

Ceaser Millan trains dogs by terrifying them. He is NOT a great dog trainer. Anyone can bully a dog, we’re bigger and stronger than them. Hopefully he gets in brought down and then more people can realise he is abusing dogs not training them.

They should have settled things privately. :) The dog trainer, Cesar Millan, has a good reputation and in publicly announcing that his dog was injured, the producer has ruined the good reputaion Cesar upholds. Dog owners might be afraid to try his service again with this one accident.

But I do believe that the producer should get payment for the damage Cesar’s program has done to his dog. I used to have a dog and I really loved my dog very much so imagine the pain of the producer seeing his dog bleeding and gasping for breath. If Cesar doesn’t want to pay for the damage, I believe that this is the part where they will have to settle things publicly. :)

Yes, I’m glad that Cesar is finally getting some bad publicity. He uses out of date methods that are cruel, because they don’t give the dog the chance to learn what is wanted of it before it is caused pain and fear from the punishment collar. His ‘pack theory’ is completely bogus and any scientist that knows anything about dog behavior and psychology can tell you that refusing to sit has nothing to do with dominance. *ranting* I’m sick of his show being on a usually accurate and objective channel like the National Geographic and I hope they drop the show.

That said – I doubt the dog’s injury is directly Cesar’s fault. I think his methods are bad, but I also think it’s better for a dog to be trained the wrong way than for a dog to live a miserable life without human companionship. I think his methods are also liable to misuse, which is what likely happened in this case. Some novice trainer probably either left the dog unattended (a BIG no-no with chain collars) or mistakenly thought that the dog was just being stubborn when the dog was choked by the collar. Either way, I’m sure it wouldn’t have happened if Cesar Milan had been personally training the dog.

DAMN!!!!

Soemthing bad definitely happened to the dog, and the owner needs to be compensated!

I’ve only watched that show twice, and I thought Caesar Millan was a croc of sh it!
