I think that any jobs you have to pay them to start is such a con unless you have to buy a suit, stationary, bag etc.
All i am saying is anything that seems too godd to be true is nealy always a con or scam.
So watch out and be careful.
Ask for references. See if anyone actually completes the course and gets hired.
I would ask what their placement rate is. They can teach you about medical billing, but most doctors’ offices want people that can do more than just the billing. My sister is an MA (Medical Assistant) and she was required to learn billing as part of her coursework. Also, some of those medical billing “schools” will actually require that you go get your own clients. Make sure you understand what is considered “job placement”. They may give you one or two clients and then you have to go get the rest yourself. It’s very competitive. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
well it may sound good till they probably make you sign some papers with lots of small prints and have something in there about payments with interest or extra payments, beside $2250.00 for a two weeks course that seem kinda silly, the medical billing field is growing but what you need to do is check your local community college, they will give you information on the course and cost , also if you’re a young single parent you can check your local family services office or department of social services office, most of the time they will provide single parents with free training and help them get a job and you don’t have to pay anything… I know people that did this
i would definitely not take the course and DO NOT give them you bank details.one simple rule, if its to good to be true, then it probably is.
Research the company on the internet. It is simple – just enter the name of the company into a Google Search Bar.
Then, after reading what comes up, you will be in a better position to make an educated decision.
By the way, I suggest you brush up on your spelling and grammar. It does not take much effort to use a spellchecker, and you will come out as being way more professional if you spell well.
This sounds like a scam to me. You don’t pay when you get a job, they pay you.
Contact your local Better Business Bureau (BBB) and even call the police non-emergency phone number. They are probably aware of these folks and can tell you if it’s legitimate.
