  1. You can contact the Better Business Bureau (or look up the BBB on line) to check on them and see if they are reputable. Google the school, too. If they haven’t been in business for very long (a year or less), they are likely a scam. Hope it’s legit. Medical billing is good job to get into. Good luck!

  2. Ask for references and check them out online. But it sounds to me like its worth checking out. Never sign anything until you read it. Its not what they say to you it’s what is written on the paper. If they say you don’t pay until you start work then that’s what the contract should say. And there should be a contract. If they try to rush you or won’t let you read it at your leasure then don’t sign. These are all flags to watch for. Also remember that if you take this course and they fail you they may still want you to pay even if you aren’t certified for work.
Sorry to be so negative but you have to watch out for these businesses .

    Edit:
Gendarme Institute is a financial loan service and deals with federal loans. This doesn’t make them safe, just knowledgable and this may help.

  3. I smell scam…….. this is an employment agency that essentially ‘trains’ you then you have to pay them back.

    Steer clear of pennysaver ads……..
