Hillary Supporters?

health care fraud
United American Socialist States asked:

Since she keeps making all these promises including the health care fraud she calls universal health care I just keep wondering. How is she going to pay for it? Are any of you actually capable of giving an answer or just more rhetoric?
Sarah do you really think I and other americans who do pay for our health insurance should have to cover you as well? Do you really think people who refuse to work should be covered? I am happily self-employed and cover my families insurance needs, as it should be, and certainly have no desire to pay for yours.
Darryl, that doesn’t even begin to cover what it would cost the first year. It is also not likely something she could push through even a democrat congress.
Elway, although your sanctimony and self-righteousness was unneeded thank you for the info. There are quite a few things in those quotes and websites that I truly doubt but it does go further than anything Obama has said. I still tend to believe that Hillary blows nearly as much smoke as her husband. Her original idea for health care, and this isn’t far from it, was a bloated and expensive idea that would cost people like me far more than the middle and lower classes.

I do not feel I owe anyone anything. I provide reasonable health care for my employees on a 70/30 basis after they have been with me a year. If a program like this goes into effect I guarantee I will go to contract employees who are responsible for their own taxes and health care to avoid being taken advantage of by people who are either too lazy or not smart enough to take care of themselves.

she going to pay for it with taxes which means that the people who actually have health care are going to be paying for people who dont

  • WordZapper:

She’s not paying it actually we are going to

  • adddictedtomonsterenergy:

Forced deductions like taxes, how else?

  • harryd:

In some circles it might be called “pickpocketing”. Under a Clinton presidency you would be working until August to pay your taxes.

  • Verbal_Abrasion:

The health care proposal she calls for will cost about $800 Billion initially.
Which is cheaper than the war… lol

By the time it actually comes to vote you can bet it’ll be closer to 1.4 Trillion. Thus pushing it over the cost of the war. In its first year mind you.

When it falls helplessly out of control you can bank on it to exceed 1.7 Trillion per year.

Who’s the drip who gave the guy below me a thumbs down? The guy is right and Hillary’s said as much.

  • cwstuffff:

She can only pay for it from taxes.

  • olcaykar-turkey:

  • edw08:

  • Sarah:

Well I’m not sure. But as an UNINSURED american I love that she is atleast TRYING. Unlike McCain.

  • Kerry[[loves Nick J<3]]:

free health care is a joke buddy.
heres you, needing a heart transplant, and somebody else with a paper cut, and they will get treated first. oh and you might wait 3 months before you get care.
    don’t vote for hilary.

  • tarzan:

srry i don’t have the answer to your question
    but in my opinion
whoever is the president of the United Staes, they practically have control over almost all of the world’s affairs
and i just can’t imagine, hilarry clinton, being preesident, having control over the world,
during terrorists attacks and wars, the US will need a strong leader, and Hillary clinto sure as hell isn’t a strong leader

  • Kelly P:

Well McCain, like Bush 1, just said “no new taxes”…think that’ll stick? It didn’t with Bush 1. All this campaign stuff is rhetoric until they actually do something.

  • Darryl T:

downsizing and modernizing the government, letting the bush tax cuts expire, and ending the “free paycheck” to Iraq. She has a very detailed plan on her website. This would allow for 55 billlion in subsidies for those who can not afford the health care and balance the budget.

  • Mustafa:

Let me put this as delicately as I can…she will be giving hard working Americans what Marlon Brando gave that woman in Last Tango In Paris.

  • Darlin:

    Yes, Hillary can handle it.

Just a soon as she Defeats the Racist Mohammad Osama Obama Huessin Barack.

    Vote Hillary!!!!

  • Hemingway:

How are we paying for the Iraqi Occupation? How are we paying for the recently approved 160 billion dollar rebates? How are we paying to operate the country when the treasury is virtually bankrupt?

  • jimmymae2000:

Cut back on Medicare and Freeze Social Security, let the old people die (cause they don’t pay any taxes anyhow).

  • poet1b:

    Same way Bill did.

She will massively cut corporate welfare and earmarks, saving trillions. (NOTE, THIS IS WHY THE DEMOCRATIC MACHINE SUPPORTS OBAMA) Also, it is time to start closing military bases around the globe, keeping only strategic bases that allow quick strikes, then all that money going out will be staying here in the U.S.. Also by simply enforcing regulations, she will force giant corporations to hire workers to meet requirements, so instead of all that money going into tax shelters for the super rich, it will be going to workers, and thereby increasing tax revenue, like in the nineties.

  • Elway_the_Cat:

Well, given your obvious disdain and insulting tone, it’s hard to believe you really want an answer to this question, and it’s easy to believe you asked it just so you could bytch about it. Whatever…

This should help somewhat, even if you don’t really care, someone else might be truly interested in this information, so thanks for the chance to post it :-). :

Aides said Clinton will propose several specific measures to pay for her plan, including an end to some of the Bush-era tax cuts for people making more than $250,000 per year.

Clinton stresses several cost-saving measures to help pay for universal coverage. She’s already recommended several such proposals, such computerized medical record-keeping and a reduction in federal overpayments to hospitals and health maintenance organizations. She also promotes wellness and disease prevention as a way to reduce costs.

Clinton stated in a September 17 speech that she would not pay for her health care plan “by raising taxes on middle class families who are already struggling with rising costs and stagnant wages.” Clinton added, “I will pay for some of it by rolling back part of President Bush’s fiscally irresponsible tax breaks for the highest income Americans.” From Clinton’s speech:

Now, how will I pay for this plan? First let me tell you how I will not pay for it. I won’t pay for it by pouring money into a broken system. I won’t pay for it by raising taxes on middle class families who are already struggling with rising costs and stagnant wages. Instead, I’ll pay for part of it by implementing the cost saving measures I outlined in May. And I will pay for some of it by rolling back part of President Bush’s fiscally irresponsible tax breaks for the highest income Americans.

And I’ll pay for some of it by limiting the tax breaks for people making over $250,000 a year to the same level that ordinary, middle class Americans get. Right now, the highest income Americans get some of the most generous health care benefits and the most generous tax deductions to go with them. Well-off Americans should be able to deduct the cost of the same quality health plan that middle-income families can deduct. If they want to receive extra benefits beyond what most middle income families get, they should pay for it themselves, not have taxpayers foot the bill for them.

    From Clinton’s campaign website:

A Net Tax Cut for American Taxpayers: The plan offers tens of millions of Americans a new tax credit to make premiums affordable-which more than offsets the increased revenues from the Plan’s provisions to limit the employer tax exclusion for health care and discontinue portions of the Bush tax cuts for those making over $250,000. Thus, the plan provides a net tax cut for American taxpayers.
