Are there any health insurance companies for overweight persons?
bookie0116 asked:
I need health insurance, but i’m overweight. Not unhealthy or anything but just overweight. A lot of insurance agencies are turning me down because of it. Now i have a bunch of people calling me trying to sell me insurance, and after looking up their names i found out that they’re fraud. Please help me, i don’t want to pay 3 or 4 hundred dollars a month for insurance.
And i would love to have a well named/known insurance company to insure me in Texas.

yes, its called Jenny Craig. lose some weight, toots.

previous user is a bit harsh, but yes, it sounds like this will be a problem for you and you ought to shed some pounds.
I’ve never heard of an insurance company turning someone down for being overweight, but then again I live in Canada. Do you need it for a certain reason? Until you can get coverage I recommend saving money every month that would otherwise go to insurance payments, in the case that something does go wrong in the meantime (I hope that it doesn’t).
Good that you are researching them beforehand though!

Getting individual health insurance is going to be difficult, as you well know. As a last resort, Texas has a guaranteed issue high risk insurance pool for other wise un-insurable persons. See link below for more information.
Good luck.
