I Went to the Doctor and They Had Sent Me a Bill When I Had Insurance?

Brynlee’s Mommy :) asked:

Well, I took it to my insurance company to get it taken care of, and they did. The hospital that had billed me sent it to a collection agency. The case is resolved and closed now because it was a mistake, but it is on my credit report!! How do I get it removed??

Just dispute it with the credit bureau and state it was an insurance problem. They should remove it with no problem

See if you can get your Dr.’s office to write a letter for you. Then send a copy to Equifax along with a letter from you explaining the circumstances and ask them to remove it from your report!

Call the company, and they can call the collection agency, and they can take it off. Do this before you even try to dispute this item. It was their fault, let them do the leg work.

Get a letter from the hospital stating that it was a billing mistake and is now paid. Send that to the credit bureaus with a request for deletion.

You have to get all your paper work together regarding this metter and mail it to the 3 bigest credit report agencies in usa, you have to mail along with all that paper work a proof that the debt has been pay off, you can also request a letter from your insurance in wich states that that debt has been pay off by them. This way they have to take it off ASAP.
